We write about all things Baba. My staff contributes from as many angles as there are references to Baba. The formal meaning of the word or prefix baba is “ highly regarded.” So if you see ‘baba’ before another word, a phrase or in a title, it implies the subject named has been deemed worthy of praise.

When we first started this site we focused on technical baba, but there is so much more to the world of baba that we have gleefully branched out. We’ve discovered it doesn’t have to be serious. It can be fun and lighthearted.

Baba precedes the names of people, places and even food – think baba ganoush. We have learned of some interesting characters with the title Baba in their names; like Baba ji, Sai Baba and Baba Free John. We have been pleasantly surprised by the ways baba has been incorporated into our languages and used as terms of endearment. We have found a very popular Chinese trading unit called Alibaba, that seems to be a persuasive player in the world stock market.

We are here just to be a little playful and hopefully connect with a quirky group of readers who also find amusement in what others may call mundane. If we can relay interesting facts and stories on baba that may put a smile on your face, then our job at Babatek is done.
